Good for

  • First-time clients at either studio
  • Tightness that snaps back no matter how much you stretch
  • Stress that lives in the neck, jaw, shoulders, hips or low back
  • Anyone who wants to understand why their body holds tension

Most people come in thinking they are tight. Usually they are guarding: the nervous system is holding certain muscles switched on to protect them, and no amount of pulling convinces it to let go.

So your first visit runs in one order.

What happens in the hour

  1. Intake and assessment. We map your stress, sleep and energy, and where your body is actually holding: a read on what your system is doing.
  2. Breath-led downshift. Long, guided exhales move your system out of fight-or-flight, so the tissue is ready to release instead of fighting back.
  3. Guided reset bodywork. Slow, breath-paced, hands-on assisted stretching on the exact patterns holding your tension in place.
  4. Integration. We explain what we found, why it is there, and what changed today.
  5. Your recovery plan. You leave with a written plan and a clear recommendation. No pressure, no contract.

What to bring

Gym or yoga clothes you can move in, clean socks, and some water. Try not to come straight from a heavy meal.

Questions before you book

What happens on my first visit?

Your first visit is a full hour: an intake and assessment, a breath-led downshift, guided hands-on reset work, a short integration, and a written plan you keep.

I feel tight everywhere and don't know where it starts. Can I still book?

Yes. Many people tell us it is "all over" or "all of the above". Your first visit starts with an assessment, so you do not have to work out where it starts on your own. Most people find it in the hips, shoulders, neck and lower back.

What if my tension is emotional as well as physical?

That is common: most people who request a first visit tell us it is a mix of both. Stress, grief and pressure often show up as tension in the hips, shoulders, neck and jaw. We work with the body and the breath. We are not a substitute for counseling or mental-health care.

Is stretch therapy the same as massage?

No. Massage works the tissue while you lie passive. Stretch therapy here is assisted stretching paired with breath-led nervous-system work, aimed at changing how your body holds tension rather than only feeling good for an hour.

Does it hurt?

No. The work is slow and paced with your breath, and your practitioner stays within what your body allows on the day.
